Even the very low value cards like Dandelion and the siege expert have more than one use - you can use them as teasers to trick the opponent into overcommitting - you throw the round and come back stronger than them in the next - or you can use their bonuses to other cards to improve your score. Some of the lower value cards (Blue Stripes Commandos, Reavers) have multiplier effects. Either your opponent will play higher cards than you and give you an opportunity to use scorch, or at least you won't have any (or many) higher than their highest, so that scorch gives them little or not benefit. Ideally, you want to be able to start a round with lower value cards then ramp up. Also, you hamper (or remove entirely) your ability to use scorch because you would be killing so many of your own cards. If they're all high number cards, you have less of a range - scorch can probably wipe out large numbers of them at once. Packing your deck with high number unit cards is also reducing your flexibility. You're going for crude numbers but losing tactical options. You can't double their value, you can't bring them back with a medic, you can't use decoy to put them down as a teaser and then pull them back and so on. But while heroes are immune to the opponent's special cards, they're also immune to yours. You have way too many heroes in there - I never have more than 5, 4 in some decks. You're obsessing with high value cards and you're losing. r/Skelligers - r/freefolk equivalent of The Witcher.r/WitcherTRPG - For The Witcher Tactical role-playing game developed by R.r/wiedzmin - For The Witcher series in general, with emphasis on the source material (books).r/netflixwitcher - For the Netflix adaptation of The Witcher series.r/cyberpunkgame - For the upcoming role-playing video game developed by CDPR.r/gwent - For the standalone card game developed by CDPR set in the Witcher universe. ![]() Want to chat about the Witcher?
